Groningen now

You wouldn't believe the amount of celebrating this country does. It seems like holidays every other week encourage massive partying...the average 38 hours a week and very uncompetetive work environments...it took me a while to get used to being told "that person won't be here until next Tuesday"...people don't take on each other's positios to get the job done or make the customer's needs a priority....nothing is open on Sundays and Thursdays are the only nights of the week that establishments stay open until nine p.m....massive amounts of people seem to constantly be crowding shops and main streets of the city center...and believe it or not...I am still wearing jeans and two layers of shirts under my lighter winter jacket :)
World Cup is number one of interest here in Europe...the streets are already lined with Orange flags (the National color) and next week I am told, will be even more insane!
I really do enjoy the massive heart felt energy that Europeans feel for soccer...its different than American Football, everyone in the city and country is overwhelmed with excitement...especially to see countries competing!
